Meet Hannah Kirk, RSW

Hannah Kirk is a dedicated social worker (QC) with nearly a decade of experience in the helping field. In addition to her McGill University education, Hannah has extensive training in alternative and decolonized approaches to grief, trauma, and healing. She has completed specialized programs such as Giwiidosendamin and Giwiidabindimin (responding to addictions, suicide, trauma, and grief through decolonized practices) and advanced courses in psychosocial assessment through the OTSTCFQ. Her lived experience, education and ongiong training position her as a grounded, compassionate, relationship-first practitioner who integrates evidence-informed and culturally sensitive approaches into every session.

Assessments are conducted with professionalism and cultural humility, offering clear insight that can inform care planning, service eligibility, or therapeutic direction They are a required part of applications for tutorship and the homologation of protection mandatess in Quebec.

Formats of Support

To accommodate different needs, Hannah's social work and coaching services are offered in three different ways across Montreal, Monteregie, and Quebec.

In Person

In-person therapy sessions are offered in Chateauguay, Quebec. She offers a grounded, confidential space where you can explore your experiences with care and guidance. In-person sessions are ideal for clients seeking face-to-face connection, a calm environment, and the steady presence of a social worker specializing in grief, trauma, and life transitions

Virtual

For clients across Montréal, the Montérégie, and all of Québec, virtual sessions provide flexible, accessible care from the comfort of your home. Online therapy is a great fit for those with busy schedules, mobility barriers, or who simply prefer a secure and private online setting. You receive the same compassionate, trauma-informed support, just through a convenient secure platform.

Walk & Talk

Walk-and-Talk therapy combines emotional support with the grounding benefits of movement and nature. Offered in the Greater Montreal area, this approach is well-suited for clients who find it easier to reflect while walking or need movement for regulation It’s a gentle, alternative that supports nervous system regulation, grief work, and trauma-informed healing.

Services covered by NIHB and IVAC

In order to make support accessible, Hannah is registered under IVAC (Indemnisation des victimes d’actes criminels) and NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits) as a mental health service provider. This means that eligible clients can receive therapeutic support at no personal cost. Billing is handled directly through these programs, allowing you to focus fully on your healing without stressing over financial barriers.
